- Safety and environmental requirements for refuelling vessel are identified and recorded
- Fuel is selected based on vessel use and manufacturer requirements
- Procedures for refuelling are identified and followed established according to workplace procedures and relevant regulations and standards
- Prepare for refuelling
- Personal protection is identified, accessed and used
- Firefighting and spill response equipment is located and checked, faulty equipment is replaced and faults are reported
- Refuelling equipment is checked and secured according to workplace procedures
- Vessel is positioned and secured for refuelling
- Tank valves are opened as necessary
- Refuel vessel
- Safety and environmental requirements for refuelling vessel are applied
- Vessel is refuelled according to workplace procedures, and relevant regulations and standards
- Workplace procedures are followed to contain spill and minimise environment or safety dangers
- Fuel levels are checked and if acceptable, refuelling is completed
- Complete refuelling
